Privacy Policy
Our privacy policy sets out how we handle personal information so that you, our customer, can feel confident purchasing and using EquationLab, and feel assured that we will do nothing to compromise your privacy.
1. The Data We Collect
We do not collect data or access your profile, contacts or any other personal information about you from Facebook, Twitter or from any other social media platform, from your computer or from your mobile phone. While we do provide a service in EquationLab which lets you post a calculation on your Facebook page or Twitter feed, we do not gather any information from you when you do this.
The only data we collect from you is gathered when you sign up on our website to receive news and information. This information is stored on our own secure database and on MailChimp. Such data will only be used for our own analysis of customer interest and for extremely infrequent emails. These emails will be designed to tell you what we are doing and inform you of advances we are making as we develop EquationLab. We will never spam you. We are unlikely to send you any more that one or two emails each year.
Our Cookie Policy describes the cookies we use and the data we collect from them.
2. Security and Disclosure
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we are required by law to do so and then only to a law enforcement agency or another third party; or in good faith believe that such access or disclosure is necessary to either comply with a legal process, enforce our Terms of Service, respond to claims that any content violates the rights of third parties, respond to your requests for customer service or protect the rights, property, or personal safety of the owners of EquationLab.
We also may disclose user information whenever we believe disclosure is necessary to limit our legal liability; to protect or defend our rights or property; or protect the safety, rights, or property of our visitors or others.
